Job description

Are you passionate about building highly available, scalable database services that empower customers to run Oracle workloads seamlessly in the cloud. The Oracle Database@AWS (ODB@AWS) team is looking for a talented Software Development Engineer II to help design, build, and operate a fully managed Oracle Database service on AWS.

Key job responsibilities
As an SDE II on the ODB@AWS team, you will own the design and delivery of critical features that enable customers to deploy, manage, and scale Oracle databases with the reliability and operational excellence they expect from AWS. You will work across the full stack-from infrastructure automation and control plane services to monitoring, security, and customer-facing APIs-to deliver a world-class managed database experience.
* Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems that power the ODB@AWS service
* Own end-to-end feature delivery from requirements gathering through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, database engineers, and partner teams across AWS
* Contribute to system architecture decisions and drive technical excellence through code reviews, design documents, and best practices
* Mentor junior engineers and raise the technical bar for the team
