Job Summary:
Y-12 National Security Complex is focused on supporting missions vital to national and global security. They are seeking a Software Developer responsible for researching, designing, developing, and modifying software applications and ensuring quality and reliability through automated testing.
Responsibilities:
• Research, designs, develops, and modifies mobile applications, enterprise-wide systems and other applications software using languages and infrastructures such as .Net, C#, Java, JavaScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, ABAP, and Next Axiom’s hyper Service Platform and Dynamic Work Execution Platform
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications
• Provide database and other architecture and systems engineering support
• Customer interfacing responsibility
• Working with project shareholders to scope, estimate, and provide overall technical leadership to develop and implement software solutions
• Responsible for ensuring implementations adhere to company policies.
• Support for the software quality assurance and software engineering life cycle including conceptual design, requirements definition, functional and computer system design, systems development and programming, implementation, testing, installation, and configuration management associated with enterprise level application software systems
• Work closely with functional and business team members, project management, enterprise architects, system engineers, and application developers to design and develop enterprise applications based on approved architecture and business requirements
• Demonstrate innovation when designing applications and solving complex IT problems
• Ensure solutions are well-engineered, operable, and maintainable while also ensuring adherence to defined project management policies, change management guidelines, and quality assurance processes
• Work with IT project management to deliver solutions on schedule and within budget
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree: No experience.
• Master's degree: No experience.
• Eight or more years of relevant education, experience and/or progressive training may be considered to satisfy the educational and years of experience required for this posting.
• Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
• This position may require entry into the Material Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (10 C.F.R. Part 712), which requires successful competition of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation and may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
• This position may be categorized as a 'designated position' identified by 10 C.F.R. Part 709, requiring successful completion of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation that may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
• CNS is a drug-free workplace. Candidates accepting a job offer will be required to pass a pre-placement physical, drug screening and background investigation.
• As an employee, you may be required to receive and maintain a security clearance from the United States Department of Energy in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information or matter.
• U.S. citizenship is a requirement for security clearance applicants.
Preferred:
• Programming Languages and frameworks (Low Code programming solutions, Java, C#, JavaScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, HTML5)
• Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced automated testing solutions using various tools and frameworks (e.g., Tricentis, Test Complete, Selenium)
• SQL Server or other relational database management systems with experience in SQL and PL/SQL
• Web server technologies such as Microsoft IIS, NetWeaver, WebLogic, and Apache Tomcat
• Integrated Development Environments such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, and IntelliJ IDEA
• Version control tools such as GIT, SVN, or other code repositories
• Effective communication skills and demonstrated success in a team environment
• Experience with ITIL processes and agile development is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Report on Creation Solutions such as Tableau
