What You Will Get To Do:

This lead software engineer position is looking for a highly experienced and expert-level individual contributor who balances advanced, hands-on coding with significant technical leadership. This role is primarilyresponsible for the technical direction and quality of derivatives portfolio management and accounting within Singularity product.

  • Technical strategy and ownership:Establish the technical vision and direction for major software components and systems. Ensure that architectural designs align with long-term business goals.
  • Complex problem-solving:Tackle the most challenging technical issues, providing innovative and creative solutions that move the project forward and prevent future problems.
  • Hands-on development:Continue to be deeply involved in hands-on coding, especially for critical and complex components of the software.
  • Mentorship and guidance:Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to mid-level and junior engineers. Help upskill the team and foster a culture of technical excellence.
  • Cross-functional collaboration:Work closely with product managers, designers, quality assurance engineers, and engineering managers to translate business needs into technical specifications and timelines.

What You Will Bring:

  • Extensive technical experience:A proven track record of 6-10+ years as a hands-on software engineer, with deep expertise in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and software design principles.
  • System architecture:Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system integration. They are capable of designing scalable, robust, and maintainable systems.
  • Leadership and influence:Strong leadership abilities with a focus on technical direction rather than direct people management. They must be able to inspire and guide a team while effectively communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
