To thrive as a Software Developer, you need strong programming skills in languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript, as well as a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals and a relevant degree or equivalent experience. Familiarity with development tools such as Git, integrated development environments (IDEs), and frameworks like React or .NET is typically required, along with knowledge of agile methodologies or certifications. Problem-solving ability, attention to detail, teamwork, and effective communication are essential soft skills that help you excel in collaborative and fast-paced environments. These skills ensure you can build reliable, maintainable software and adapt to evolving project requirements and technologies.

What are some common challenges software developers face when working on team-based projects?

Software developers often encounter challenges such as coordinating with team members across different time zones, managing code integration from multiple contributors, and maintaining clear communication about project requirements. Effective use of version control systems like Git and regular participation in code reviews can help mitigate these issues. Job description

Pro-Vision is seeking a Senior Software Developer to contribute across the full spectrum of modern application development. This position supports standalone desktop applications, web interfaces, and backend services that power Pro-Vision's growing product suite.

The ideal candidate brings deep full-stack proficiency and an engineer's instinct for quality, with attention to the health of existing codebases alongside new development. You will work across a modern technology stack encompassing Angular, ASP.NET Core, and Kubernetes, with meaningful opportunities to shape architecture and drive technical direction.

What you'll do

You'll develop and maintain multi-tier applications from the ground up, own automated testing strategy well beyond the unit level (integration, end-to-end, performance), and actively improve the maintainability of existing codebases. This role sits at the intersection of development and operations. Candidates with hands-on operations experience will find a strong fit here, and those looking to grow into that space will find genuine support in doing so.

On the infrastructure and DevOps side, you'll work with a platform stack that includes Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, ArgoCD, Istio, Pulumi, and Terraform/OpenTofu.

What we're looking for

  • Proven full-stack development experience with Angular and ASP.NET Core
  • A track record of improving software quality in existing, production codebases
  • Experience designing and maintaining automated testing harnesses across multiple testing disciplines
  • Familiarity with cloud-native operations tooling: Kubernetes, Azure, ArgoCD, Istio, and Terraform/OpenTofu
  • Examples of past projects and contributions are strongly preferred

Why Pro-Vision

This is an opportunity to do meaningful work on a team that takes both craft and operational excellence seriously. You'll have the latitude to make real technical decisions and the support to grow into areas where you're still building depth.
