Job description

Role Overview:
This role involves comprehensive administration and management of Jamf Pro in a large-scale enterprise environment, focusing on macOS lifecycle management, application deployment, and security enforcement. The administrator will be responsible for maintaining device compliance, operational stability, and implementing zero-touch provisioning.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and manage Jamf Pro within a large-scale enterprise setting.
  • Create and maintain policies, configuration profiles, smart groups, and scripts.
  • Perform Jamf upgrades, patching, and performance optimization.
  • Build and deploy application packages globally using Jamf.
  • Manage the end-to-end macOS lifecycle, including provisioning, patching, upgrades, and decommissioning.
  • Implement and support zero-touch provisioning utilizing Apple Business Manager (ABM) and DEP.
  • Ensure device compliance, consistency, and operational stability across macOS endpoints.
  • Develop and maintain Bash/Python scripts for automation and package deployment.
  • Create Jamf bundle packages and streamline large-scale deployments.
  • Leverage DevOps practices, including Git and CI/CD pipelines, for controlled and repeatable changes.
  • Evaluate and validate security updates, patches, and service packs.
  • Perform quality control (QC) and certification before enterprise-wide deployment.
  • Enforce corporate security standards across macOS endpoints.
  • Develop and implement configuration policies aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Perform testing, validation, and maintain detailed documentation of configurations.
  • Communicate procedures, updates, and changes effectively across teams.

Required Skills:
  • Strong hands-on experience with Jamf Pro, preferably in an enterprise-scale environment.
  • Deep knowledge of macOS and Windows operating systems and their management.
  • Expertise in Apple Business Manager (ABM), DEP, and zero-touch deployments.
  • Proficiency in application packaging and deployment via Jamf.
  • Proficiency in Bash and/or Python scripting.
  • Experience with patch management and endpoint lifecycle operations.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of endpoint security and update validation processes.
