Job description

Sideworx Connect offers positions for both employees and independent contractors. We specialize in placing short-term and seasonal employees, allowing you control over your schedule and a chance to explore a multitude of projects.

We are seeking experienced Construction Supervisors with both facility and pipeline construction expertise to oversee complex construction projects in the oil & gas and industrial sectors. This role involves managing construction crews, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate construction activities for facility and pipeline projects
  • Oversee both above-ground facility construction and pipeline installation/maintenance
  • Ensure all work meets safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation across diverse project types
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce safety protocols
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Monitor quality control and ensure work meets specifications for both facility and pipeline work
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and progress reports
  • Resolve on-site issues and implement corrective actions

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of construction supervision experience
  • Combined experience in both facility construction AND pipeline projects
  • Oil & gas or industrial construction background required
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and pipeline schematics
  • Experience with project management software

Preferred Experience:

  • Supervision of pipeline installation, maintenance, and integrity projects
  • Facility construction including processing plants, compressor stations, and pump stations
  • Experience with flare stack maintenance and industrial shutdowns
  • Knowledge of pipeline welding and inspection processes
  • Familiarity with both greenfield and brownfield construction projects

Required Certifications:

  • H2S Alive
  • Standard First Aid & CPR - Level C
  • Common Safety Orientation
  • Additional safety certifications as required by project
  • Drug and alcohol testing and a criminal record check may be required

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and various weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and around heavy equipment
  • Travel is required and certain jobs may be eligible for Living Out Allowance
