Within Schwab Asset Management Solutions (SAMS) Technology, you’ll help build and enhance the next generation of applications that power investment management, capital markets, portfolio optimization, and trading capabilities across Schwab’s proprietary mutual funds and ETFs.

As a Software Engineer, you’ll work in a collaborative Agile environment to design, develop, and deliver scalable software solutions that directly support front-office investment management and trading functions. You’ll partner closely with business and technology teams to solve complex challenges, improve operational efficiency, and deliver high-quality applications that create meaningful business outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to contribute across the software development lifecycle while strengthening your expertise in modern application development, cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and financial services technology. What you have

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, SQL Server, JSON, and REST-based services
  • Demonstrated ability to build and support scalable software solutions that meet business objectives while maintaining quality, reliability, and performance standards
  • Experience working within Agile development teams and contributing throughout the software development lifecycle
