Eaton's IS AER FMC Aerospace division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $ 80,000 a year.

* This role requires working on-site at our Jackson, MS Manufacturuing facility. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
What you'll do:
Job Summary
The Fuel & Motion Control Systems Division of Eaton's Aerospace Group, has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer. The position is based in Jackson, MS. This facility manufactures Aerospace hydraulic pumps, motors, motor pumps, reservoirs.
The Jackson facility has approximately 500 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.
The Manufacturing Engineer supports the manufacturing processes responsible for producing Aerospace quality products including hydraulic pumps, motors, motorpumps, and reservoirs. The Manufacturing Engineer performs engineering and manufacturing assignments focusing on process improvements related to assembly and testing. This is an entry level position designed to focus on college hires and those with less than 1 year of continuous work experience to gain the knowledge and problem-solving skills necessary to prepare successful individuals to take on roles of increasing responsibility within the organization."
Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be able to do the following:
• Create and improve process plans for new and existing products
• Conduct time studies to establish or verify standards
• Design and develop tooling to support the assembly and testing of the product
• Create and improve check/inspection sheet documentation for production processes
• Utilize problem solving tools (8D, 5 Why's, DMAIC) to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Timely processing of customer returns (RMA's) documenting detailed investigation results
• Identify and execute cost out initiatives through productivity improvements
• Support new product launches into production
• Perform daily process checks to ensure compliance by technicians
• Supports Eaton continuous improvement initiatives such as Rapid Improvement Events, Standard Work Events, Value Stream Mapping, and 5S+
• Supports test yield investigations
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Industrial Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
• Entry level 0-2 yrs experience providing engineering support to a manufacturing work environment inclusive of internship experience.
• Proficient in SOLIDWORKS, CAD/CAM or other similar software.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Technology degrees strongly preferred
• Co-Op/Internship experience within Engineering.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling and the creation of detailed drawings
• One plus year experience collaborating and participating in engineering projects.
• Ability to gather and analyze relevant data of manufacturing operations and processes in order to optimize throughput, reduce scrap, and improve quality while ensuring the safety of plant personnel.
• Must possess effective and verbal communications skills.
• Must possess good organizational and prioritization skills to maintain and address multiple assigned projects and expectations.
