Job description

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a CNO Software Developer to join our team and support our client in Ft. Meade, MD.

The CNO Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining advanced cyberspace capabilities. This role supports the full software development lifecycle for secure, missioncritical applications used in cyber operations. The developer will work in a classified environment to translate operational requirements into technical solutions, design software architectures, implement secure code, and deliver capabilities that meet mission objectives while maintaining strict security and performance standards.


What you'll do: Software Planning & Management
  • Define project scope, mission objectives, timelines, and deliverables for advanced cyber capability development
  • Gather, analyze, and prioritize stakeholder requirements within classified environments
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, vulnerabilities, and technical constraints throughout development
  • Estimate development effort, resource needs, and time requirements for complex capability builds
Design & Architecture
  • Produce detailed design documents, prototypes, and architectural diagrams
  • Design and implement diverse software architectures including microservices, monolithic systems, and eventdriven architectures
  • Develop conceptual, logical, and physical software models aligned with mission requirements
  • Ensure designs meet operational, performance, and security requirements for cyber operations
Development & Implementation
  • Write, test, debug, and refine code in multiple programming languages
  • Package proofofconcept code into multistage executables used for cyber effects and operations
  • Implement secure coding standards and security best practices throughout all development stages
  • Produce comprehensive technical documentation to support maintenance, modification, and operational use
Quality & Security
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and ensure compliance with cybersecurity, operational, and regulatory standards
  • Develop and execute unit, integration, system, and acceptance tests to validate code quality and mission readiness
  • Implement configuration management processes governing software code, builds, and artifacts
  • Validate software performance in operationally representative environments

What you'll need: 
  • 5 years of software development experience with a focus on secure, missioncritical applications
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including:
    • Python, C, C++, .NET, Java, Bash scripting
  • Experience with operating systems such as Linux, Windows, Android, iOS, or realtime operating systems
  • Experience with cryptography, hashing, network protocols, and/or WiFi protocols

Bonus Points if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical field 
  • Master's degree in a relevant technical field
  • Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community missions
  • Knowledge of cyber operations concepts, requirements, and operational workflows
  • Experience with DevSecOps pipelines, automation tools, and secure build practices
  • Understanding of networking devices, infrastructure, and distributed systems
  • Ability to develop multistage executables for cyber operations
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within classified environments and crossfunctional cyber teams

Clearance
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI with polygraph level security clearance
