Your Opportunity

The Senior Developer designs, builds, and maintains scalable, secure enterprise solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform, with a strong emphasis on system integration, performance, and security. This is a replacement role and leads hands-on development across the full software lifecycle, promoting best practices, and works closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Azure services, cloudnative development, APIs, and integration patterns, along with strong problemsolving skills and the ability to operate independently in a fastpaced environment. As a key technical contributor, this role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability and longterm success of the firm's cloud platforms and digital initiatives.

To be successful, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud-based applications using Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure SQL, Azure Storage)

  • Lead the implementation of cloud-based solutions using APIs, messaging, and event-driven architectures, for integrations ensuring reliable data exchange across internal and external platforms.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, DevOps, QA, and business teams to translate functional and technical requirements into robust cloud solutions.

  • Drive technical decisions across the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

  • Implement and enforce best practices for cloud security, performance optimization, scalability, and cost management within Azure environments.

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps using Infrastructure as code (IaC), GitHub Actions, or similar tools to support automated builds, testing, and deployments.

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex application, integration, and infrastructure issues across development and production environments. Mentor and support junior developers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing to elevate overall team capability.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, integration specifications, and operational procedures.

  • Stay current with emerging Azure services, cloud technologies, and integration patterns, recommending improvements that support the firm's technology strategy.

  • Establish governance processes and standards for business architecture practices.

  • Promote collaboration between technical and non-technical teams to ensure shared understanding of business goals.

Your Experience and Education:

  • University Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT, with at least 1 year in technical leadership role.

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure Integration Services - API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Functions, Logic Apps etc.

  • Proven expertise in enterprise integration patterns: request/response, pub/sub, orchestration vs. choreography, batch, saga.

  • Strong expertise in C# and modern .NET versions, with hands-on experience using Visual Studio 2019/2022+ and VS Code.

  • Strong knowledge of APIs (REST, SOAP, OData, GraphQL), JSON, XML, and secure communication protocols.

  • Strong understanding of cloud security, RBAC, encryption in transit and at rest.

  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with development, operations, and architecture teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and document standards and best practices for API management and integration.

  • Certifications in Microsoft Azure or equivalent cloud platforms are an asset.

  • Experience with AI agent frameworks and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for enabling secure, context-aware automation and integration is an asset.

  • Experience with Workday, Dynamics 365, or ServiceNow integrations is an asset.

The expected range of compensation for this role is $77,000 - $117,000 annually.
