Job description

Frontend Engineer Contract Position

We are seeking a Frontend Engineer contract position to focus on improving the accessibility of our public web properties. The candidate will work with the team and an auditing vendor to remediate accessibility issues on our public web properties. A candidate with content management experience would be a plus. Basic knowledge of C# also is a plus. Being able to see generic solutions to complicated problems is a must. A passion for the art and responsibility of making web properties accessible is imperative.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to edit reusable components with an eye towards accessibility guidelines in different contexts.
  • Experienced with Git source control and pull request processes/merges.
  • Experience with WCAG 2 compliance at the AA level.
  • Experience with Sitecore or another CMS a plus.
  • Ability to think critically about accessibility asks and find solutions beyond the generic suggestion.
  • Capable of working with a team to solve multi-part complex problems.
