Looking for Software developers with the largest cable company in Seattle, WA.

Location: 1000 2nd Ave, Seattle, WA

Contract to Hire Opportunity with 2 opening

Job Description:

Primary Language is Java, other languages also prefferred, Spring, Cloud, Docker and Container experience is required.

Skills

  • Building Services, ideally robust services
  • Don't use SOAP or Rest, usually Git request with everything on URL utilizing HLS
  • Java Stack, Spring
  • AWS would be helpful for Infrastructure and deployment, be familiar with how it works
  • Some testing responsibilities. Work with Product owner to help define specs
  • Not using Databases, but could be useful experience
  • Containerizing in Docker, deploying on kubernetes- plus
  • Building high performance systems. Ability to identify bottlenecks
  • Know how to optimize experience and performance
  • Video and/or Advertising experience could be a plus
  • 60% coding, 20% testing/automation, 20% helping with infrastructure
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years, but can be flexible. Could have less experience or more.
  • Interview process/timeline
    • Google Hangout Video interview
    • Two hour slot. First half hour is phone screen. If goes well will continue into more coding discussion and technical interview.
