Job description

Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Software Engineer with a Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one, to support KITS and our government customer at Stennis Space Center, MS.

The ideal candidate will be part of a dynamic team developing and maintaining mission-critical applications with a focus on geospatial technologies. This position offers opportunities to work with cutting-edge technologies while solving complex engineering challenges in support of our government clients.
The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex software systems, with a particular emphasis on geospatial applications.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Design and develop robust, scalable software solutions
  • Write high-quality, well-tested code following best practices
  • Integrate GIS components and spatial data into applications
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle
  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance
  • Debug and optimize application performance
  • Create and maintain technical documentation

  • Support deployment and maintenance of applications
  • Participate in Agile development processes

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
