Supervisoryrelationship: Reports to Director of Development.

Job summary: This is a part-time intern position. The Intern will be involved in all aspects of developing various marketing and public relations materials, including press releases, marketing brochures, newsletters, annual reports, social media posts, direct appeal pieces, event-related materials, all for public distribution. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal, writing, and editing skills. The Intern will need to be proficient in internet searching and will learn to use available online sources of public information. The Intern's work will be approved by the Director of Development but may also be assigned projects by other Development team members. The Intern may also assist with administrative tasks of data entry, bulk mailings, volunteer coordination, filing, preparing mailings, etc. The Intern is expected to demonstrate the ability to work independently toward the completion of projects. The Intern MUST exhibit sensitivity toward the individuals Orange Grove serves and MUST demonstrate a keen awareness and respect for privacy and confidentiality issues.

Other duties: As assigned.

Education: High school graduate, enrollment in or completion of 4-year degree preferred.

Experience: Experience with graphic design, spreadsheet, word processing, data management programs, social media content creation helpful. Excellent writing and verbal skills required. Proficiency using online sources for research purposes required. Preference given to applicants with a background in marketing, public relations, communications, fundraising, non-profit management, and/or development.

Physicalrequirements: Health must be adequate to allow for efficient completion of duties and responsibilities. Physical examination and TB skin test required prior to employment.
