Software Development Manager page is loaded## Software Development Managerlocations: Westbrook, MEtime type: Full timeposted on: Heute ausgeschriebenjob requisition id: J-053753## As a **Software Development Manager,** you will manage all activities for the Zookeepers engineering team within RADIXX Engineering - the infrastructure backbone of RADIXX, owning production stability, security compliance, delivery automation, and AWS infrastructure health across a broad and growing product portfolio. You will be responsible for managing staff, assigning work, monitoring activities, and evaluating performance. You will support the development of team operating policies, procedures, and budget planning. May be responsible for designing and implementing strategic programs across the department. You will lead development of group budget, operating policies and procedures. In this role, you will contribute to development of overall technology department strategy and direction.#### **The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a hybrid capacity onsite 2x per week or 8x per month.**#### **In this Role:*** ## You will manage all activities of the Zookeepers engineering team, including SRE, Developers, and dotted-line DevOps and QA functions. Plan and organize work, ensures adequate staffing and resources, and maintain delivery on schedule to sustain production stability and customer satisfaction.* ## You will manage staff, assigning work, monitoring activities, and evaluating performance. Manages escalated and critical production issues. Administers employment actions, provides coaching and guidance, and promotes professional development and growth across the team.* ## You will support development of team budget, operating policies, and procedures. Coordinates work of outside vendors and contractors where applicable.* ## You will triage and prioritize inbound requests from across the organization - security tasks, high-priority defects, AWS infrastructure requests, and compliance asks - ensuring the team remains focused on its core mandate rather than operating as a catch-all for all engineering needs.* ## You will identify and implement strategies and operational efficiencies to enhance engineering reliability, delivery velocity, and internal customer experience. Align team activities with RADIXX business operations and engineering standards.* ## You will communicate with related departments - Product, Security, Infrastructure, and other engineering sub-teams - to coordinate work and resolve cross-functional issues. Provide internal customer feedback and leads or participate in teams related to new or ongoing project work.* ## You will lead and contribute to process improvements based on evaluation of existing procedures and business needs. Utilize data, metrics, and system tools to drive efficiency and maximize reliability. Identify problems, obstacles, and opportunities and proactively acts to address them. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and delivery automation.* ## You will prepare reports and other information summarizing team activities, production stability, and delivery outcomes. Report results to peer groups and senior management. Prepare analyses as needed to highlight issues and resolve questions.## **What you need to succeed:*** ## Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required#### **Management*** ## 5-7+ years' people management experience in a software engineering environment, with proven leadership skills* ## Ability to organize, prioritize, and direct work activities across a multi-discipline team (SRE, development, QA, DevOps)* ## Experience managing dotted-line or matrix reporting relationships* ## Ability to manage escalated and critical issues calmly and decisively#### **Technical & Domain Knowledge*** ## General knowledge of software engineering operations, including infrastructure, delivery pipelines, and production support environments* ## Familiarity with AWS infrastructure, security compliance programs, or SRE/platform engineering practices preferred* ## Working knowledge of the team's core technology stack: Java, C#, React, and Angular.
