Software Configuration Manager – BAE Systems, Nashua, NH

Full‑time, on‑site role responsible for Software Configuration Management (SCM). The position executes SCM activities per BAE Systems policies, maintains software repositories (Git, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira), manages build documentation, and ensures reproducible software baselines.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and manage configuration items throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Perform change management, status accounting, audit and verification activities.
  • Configure and maintain software repositories using designated SCM tools.
  • Document required software builds and ensure reproducible configuration baselines.
  • Execute release and change control functions using SCM tools.
  • Generate and maintain program software development, release, and change records.
  • Coordinate SCM Configuration Control Board activities, establish agendas, record approvals, and publish action‑item lists.
  • Develop proficiency with assigned SCM tools and company procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • U.S. citizen eligible for a DoD security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Experience with basic computer applications, databases, operating systems, and hardware.
  • Experience with SCM tools such as Git, GitLab, Jira, Bitbucket, ClearCase, and ClearQuest.
Pay Information

Full‑time salary range: $63,653 – $108,210. Salary is determined by market, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
