The selected candidate will provide the necessary support for the daily functions associated with Corrosion, which includes managing data gathering, compiling, fundamental analysis, and developing recommendations and reports for supervisors/managers.

They will review data and enter information into multiple data systems. Also, communicate with office and field personnel for information needed for system updates and compliance data. Duties include but are not limited to Collecting reports daily from field personnel, then analyzing, scanning, filing, and entering pipe condition reports into our compliance software Maintain and organize both the digital and hardcopy filing systems of current work orders and surveys for Corrosion Assist with maintaining the AOC database, reviewing, merging, and purging old data from the list, and comparing data from work completed and open work orders Maintaining and reviewing data from other software (Safety Culture) for compliance with Corrosion and other inspections.

Also, running reports from the same data set Running other reports as needed for management, typically weekly, monthly, and annually Assist with GIS updates and review Review corrosion surveys and make updates as needed Incumbents serve as Essential employees, which means that the incumbent is required to work when the City is closed due to public emergencies, critical or hazardous conditions, or inclement weather. Qualifications, Special Certifications and Licenses Demonstrated computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other database management software; Knowledge of database management principles and techniques; Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools and software; Time management skills to ensure timely completion of data entry tasks; Able to work independently and as part of a team; Attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and completeness; Analytical skills to identify and resolve data discrepancies; Ability to follow established procedures and protocols for data entry; Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities effectively; Ability to learn new software and tools as needed. MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in business/public administration or field related to assignment Two (2) years of data analysis experience An equivalent combination of training and experience (as approved by the department) may be used to meet the minimum qualifications of the classification LICENSING, CERTIFICATIONS, and/or OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires a valid Driver's License or a valid Commonwealth of Virginia Driver's License within 30 days of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to follow established procedures and protocols for data entry Communication skills to collaborate with other stakeholders and communicate data findings Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access) and databases; Analytical skills to identify and resolve data discrepancies Attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and completeness Working knowledge of GIS principles and spatial data management. Experience with ESRI platforms (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, or similar). Familiarity with editing feature attributes and performing data validation within a GIS environment.
