Job description

We are looking for a Clothing Department Lead to support the daily operations of our apparel (softgoods) department in a winter ski and snowboard specialty retail store. This is a full-time, hourly leadership role that focuses on customer service, sales performance, merchandising, and team support during peak winter season.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with strong knowledge of winter apparel and layering systems
  • Lead by example on the sales floor and support clothing department associates during shifts
  • Drive department sales through effective selling, add-ons, and customer engagement
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards, organization, and product presentation
  • Assist with inventory tasks including receiving, stocking, transfers, and markdowns
  • Support training and onboarding of new and seasonal staff
  • Help resolve customer issues and support store-wide operations as needed

  • 1-2 years of retail experience; lead or key-holder experience preferred
  • Experience with POS systems and inventory management software is a plus
  • Interest or knowledge of ski/snowboard apparel and cold-weather performance wear
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and peak winter season hours
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move up to 20-25 lbs
  • Possible other physical demands talking, standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, carrying, climbing, and more
  • Passion for skiing, snowboarding, or outdoor winter sports is a plus.
