Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will support dentists in delivering high-quality dental care by assisting chairside, managing patient records, and ensuring infection control protocols are strictly followed. Our office is open 7:30am-4:00pm Monday-Thursday. This position offers flexible hours and an opportunity to grow your skills within a supportive environment.

Duties

  • Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics and endodontics
  • Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained
  • Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging systems such as Softdent or 3D scanners
  • Manage patient records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Provide chairside assistance with vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and medical documentation as needed
  • Support the dental receptionist in scheduling appointments and managing patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following infection control protocols and anatomy knowledge guidelines

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting with proficiency in dental assisting procedures
  • Familiarity with Softdent a plus
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control standards in dental practice
  • Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately while adhering to radiation safety guidelines
  • Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dentistry
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and provide exceptional patient care
