Job description

Bryant & Stratton College is seeking a motivated, energetic, and passionate part-time Assistant Softball Pitching Coach to join our coaching staff.
The responsibilities of the Assistant Coach will include:
Pitching Development
  • Assist in the development and management of the pitching staff.
  • Conduct bullpen sessions and individual pitching instruction.
  • Provide mechanical analysis and pitch development strategies.
  • Develop and monitor pre-game and recovery routines.

Game Management
  • Assist with pitch calling and game-day strategy.
  • Analyze opponents and help create scouting reports.
  • Monitor pitcher usage and in-game adjustments.
  • Work with catchers to develop game plans.

Mentorship & Leadership
  • Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes.
  • Promote accountability, discipline, and personal growth.
  • Help create a championship culture built on trust and development.

Program Development
  • Attend and actively participate in practices and games.
  • Assist with recruiting and evaluation when needed.
  • Support team activities and staff initiatives.
  • Contribute to building a nationally competitive pitching program.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Former softball pitcher with competitive playing experience.
  • Currently active in one or more of the following:

    • Giving pitching lessons.
    • Coaching travel softball.
    • Coaching high school softball.
    • Coaching collegiate softball.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Passion for developing athletes and helping build a winning culture.
  • Ability to commit to practices, games, and team functions.

Compensation is paid via a stipend for the season:
$3,000-8,000 (annual range)

The selected candidate's actual base pay for this role will take into account a wide range of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. At Bryant & Stratton College, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
