This role will require significant travel to San Antonio, along with periodic travel to Houston and Fort Worth.
General Purpose
The Process Engineer - Blow Mold Equipment provides remote and on-site technical support to maintenance teams, particularly during major overhauls, CAPEX projects and equipment breakdowns across production lines.
This role is also responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving specialized training programs focused on blow mold equipment used in the production lines for soft drinks and water.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as SME for blow mold technologies across CCSWB.
  • Design/execute field tests and manage projects, including planning and tracking.
  • Communicate technical information clearly; document and share key data with stakeholders.
  • Develop SOPs and deliver hands-on maintenance training.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and failure investigations for equipment issues.
  • Create maintenance training materials covering:
    • Blow molding technologies (rotary, high-speed systems)
    • Equipment operation, maintenance, and sanitation
    • Preform handling and heating systems
    • Troubleshooting, diagnostics, and changeovers
    • Quality standards and compliance requirements
  • Provide pre-, during-, and post-intervention support for production operations.
  • Perform process analysis and guide teams in complex troubleshooting scenarios.
  • Analyze predictive maintenance data for critical equipment.
  • Maintain and update technical records and databases for blow mold assets.
  • Evaluate vendors and recommend solutions.
  • Assess equipment condition and identify CAPEX investment needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs or management direction.

Work Environment
Moderate to high noise, PPE required, Temperature range: 25°F-120°F, High mobility (10,000+ steps daily), ~75% travel required, Flexible schedule based on business needs
Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanics, Mechatronics, or related field
  • 5-10 years of experience in blow mold equipment (Industrial projects or maintenance)
  • Knowledge of industrial codes and standards (ISO, OSHA, FDA)
  • Experience with blow mold equipment from OEMs, such as Krones, KHS, and Sidel
  • Significant travel (75%)

Preferred:
  • Experience in the beverage industry
  • Familiarity with automation systems and integration with blow mold equipment
  • Project Management training
  • Root cause analysis / failure analysis training
  • Microsoft 365-Intermediate level
  • Microsoft Project - Intermediate level
  • Experience providing training (Industry or Academy).
  • AutoCAD 2D & 3D - Intermediate level
