Warehouse sock sorters often face the challenge of maintaining speed and accuracy when sorting large volumes of socks by size, style, or color. To address this, many warehouses use sorting systems or color-coding techniques to streamline the process. Job description

Sock Club is a leader in the promotional products industry, known for custom sock designs that customers actually get excited about. We're growing fast, and so is our Design team, with clear structure, defined ownership, and real paths for designers to develop their skills.

We are looking for a self-motivated Production Sock Designer who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and can turn around high-quality work quickly. You'll be producing designs that clients review and approve before they head to production, so precision and pace both matter - your work is often the last step before it becomes a real product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production & Volume: Create, modify, and finalize sock designs to meet daily turnaround goals and tight deadlines, managing a high volume of concurrent projects without sacrificing quality.
  • Precision and Accuracy: Ensure all produced materials adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a high standard of accuracy.
  • Collaboration: Partner with designers, Sales, and Marketing to understand project requirements, communicating directly with clients or through the Sales team to incorporate feedback.
  • Adaptability: Adjust quickly to shifting scope, deadlines, feedback, and revision requests as projects evolve.
  • Process Improvement: We're incorporating AI tools into parts of our design pipeline to cut down on repetitive work. You'll help identify where these tools speed things up so more of your time goes towards the judgement calls only a designer can make.

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree in graphic design or a related field is recommended; 1-3 years of professional experience.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates consistent, high-quality design work.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Exceptional attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and effective time management.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience or comfort interacting directly with clients.

Benefits

  • Open PTO Policy
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401K match
  • Casual, collaborative team culture
  • Hybrid schedule: in-office Tuesday-Thursday (Austin office); not a remote position.
  • Salary: $50,000 + commission

Unsure about your qualifications?

You should apply anyway!

LinkedIn examined their users' job search behavior and found that women are less likely to apply for a job that they aren't fully qualified for, while men will apply if they meet only some of the desired qualities.

Whether you fit into these two categories, or somewhere else on the spectrum, take a chance on that application. You may just be the perfect fit!

Sock Club is committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination or harassment. We expect every member of the Sock Club community to do their part to cultivate and maintain an environment where everyone has the opportunity to feel included, and is afforded the respect and dignity they deserve.

Decisions related to hiring, compensating, training, evaluating performance, or terminating are made fairly, and we provide equal employment opportunities to all qualified candidates and employees. We examine our unconscious biases and take responsibility for always striving to create an inclusive environment that makes every employee and candidate feel welcome.
