Job description

We are looking for Behavioral Health Specialists (LCSW, Clinical Psychologist, or Psychiatric CNS) to provide non-clinical, administrative behavioral health support services to the Puerto Rico Army National Guard (PRARNG)
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct initial and follow-up behavioral health (BH) administrative screening evaluations using clinical interviews, medical documentation, and collateral sources in accordance with Army regulations and Department of Defense instructions.
• Determine provisional diagnoses and identify appropriate treatment plans aligned with Army Medical Readiness standards and mobilization requirements.
• Manage a caseload of up to 300 Service Members, tracking and documenting all progress in military medical data systems (MODS, MHS Genesis, and MEDCHART).
• Develop, maintain, and utilize a database/network of licensed civilian behavioral health professionals; coordinate and track referrals to these networks or to Military Treatment Facilities (MTF) and VA facilities to ensure continuous care.
• Provide written, clinically supported recommendations to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) regarding administrative dispositions, including the removal of Service Members from Line-of-Duty or Incapacitation pay status due to behavioral health conditions.
• Support mobilization readiness by conducting on-site detailed records reviews during Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) events and Mobilization Station Assistance visits; prepare required documentation for mobilization.
• Ensure all administrative and clinical data is entered into required military medical data systems within 72 hours of service.
• Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, the Privacy Act, and all applicable Army regulations regarding documentation and privacy.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must possess one of the following :
- Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a CSWE-accredited institution and a current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical social worker license (LCSW);
- OR a master's degree as a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) with a current, active, valid, and unrestricted license;
- OR a license as a Clinical Psychologist.
• Minimum two (2) years of post-licensure experience in behavioral health, case management, or related fields (preferred).
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to rapidly learn and utilize military medical data systems (MODS, MHS Genesis, MEDCHART).
• Ability to work full-time, on-site at Camp Santiago, Salinas, PR, during standard business hours, with occasional weekend work to support readiness events.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background checks for access to military installations and systems.
