Schedule Details/Additional Information:
Since social workers are 32-hours per week, one social worker must be onsite at opening (8:30 a.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday) and the other comes in later and closes at 4:30 Monday - Thursday and 4 p.m. Friday. Currently, the social worker on staff does the opening shift.
Pay Range:
$26.55 - $39.85
Major Responsibilities:
  • Assures efficient and effective management of the Cancer Navigators office on a day-to-day basis by performing a variety of tasks and ensuring timely completion. Performs other duties, special projects, and outreach, such as attending/speaking at external community fundraising events and coordination of internal fundraising events.
  • Coordinates the day-to-day operations for patient care and customer service activities.
  • Maintains an effective working relationship with other staff, utilizing discretion and a high degree of collaboration; facilitates office communication.
  • Responsible for all aspects of meetings including scheduling, communicating details, ordering refreshments, planning technology requirements, and drafting agendas and minutes.
  • Identifies, resolves and/or recommends resolutions to office issues.
  • Implements departmental policies/procedures as needed. Updates and maintains procedure book for department.
  • Answers and screens phone calls and responds to mail/email; providing excellent customer service to all.
  • Enters and updates data in patient database and prepares patient data reports as requested, including monthly statistical data and records for organization's economic impact.
  • Creates and maintains accurate files with complete information. Coordinates both hard copy filing system and electronic filing database for patient records. Maintains and updates computer files and is responsible for the upkeep of related software programs.
  • Maintains inventory and stock levels of supplies for department, works with internal and outside vendors.
  • Monitors expenses and reviews monthly budget reports for supply orders.
