Position Summary
The Program Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of programs and services that support older adults and promote healthy aging, independence, and quality of life. This role oversees program operations, ensures compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements, manages community partnerships, and supports the delivery of high-quality services to the aging population.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, program development, and stakeholder engagement skills, along with a passion for serving seniors and vulnerable populations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage programs designed to support older adults and caregivers.
- Monitor program performance, outcomes, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and organizational regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate and collaborate with community organizations, healthcare providers, social service agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Manage program budgets, resources, and reporting requirements.
- Analyze program data and prepare reports on performance metrics, outcomes, and service utilization.
- Supervise and support program staff, providing coaching, guidance, and professional development.
- Identify opportunities for program expansion, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Assist with grant management, contract deliverables, and funding requirements as applicable.
- Advocate for the needs of older adults and contribute to organizational strategic planning efforts.
- Conduct community outreach and education activities to increase awareness of available services and resources.
- Respond to participant concerns and ensure exceptional customer service and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Human Services, Gerontology, Psychology, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in program management, social services, healthcare, aging services, or a related field.
- Experience working directly with older adults, seniors, or aging populations.
- Strong knowledge of aging-related programs, community resources, and social determinants of health.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects, programs, budgets, and cross-functional initiatives.
Preferred Education & Experience
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Public Health (MPH), Healthcare Administration (MHA), Gerontology, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Experience working within nonprofit, healthcare, community-based, or government-funded aging services organizations.
- Previous supervisory or staff management experience.
