Job description

JQ Staffing Services is seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated Bilingual Social Service Coordinator to support a busy Senior Community Center in Philadelphia. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others, connecting people with resources, and making a positive impact in the lives of older adults.

The ideal candidate is fluent in both English and Spanish, has excellent communication skills, and is passionate about serving the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with senior participants to assess their needs and provide support.
  • Connect participants with community resources, social services, and benefit programs.
  • Assist with referrals for housing, transportation, healthcare, food assistance, and other services.
  • Maintain accurate participant records, case notes, and required documentation.
  • Coordinate activities, educational workshops, and wellness programs.
  • Work closely with community organizations and service providers.
  • Provide advocacy and follow-up services as needed.
  • Help create a welcoming, respectful, and supportive environment for all participants.
  • Assist with general administrative duties and program coordination.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with seniors, community organizations, social services, case management, or human services preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
