Job Title:Girls Hockey Development Coordinator

Pay Details:

The starting hourly rate for this position is $28.00 per hour.

The Girls Hockey Development Coordinator is a part time position within The Rinks and Great Park Ice. This position will focus on cultivating the growth of girl's hockey via grassroots initiatives, community programming, and Anaheim Ducks fan engagement programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the on-ice instruction of all-girls hockey programming under the Anaheim Ducks We Play Her Way umbrella including but not limited to Learn Her Way and Play Her Way

  • Lead and facilitate on-ice instruction for The Rinks and Anaheim Ducks girls focused programming including Girls Try Hockey For Free and Women's Try Hockey For Free events

  • Develop coaching plans for programs and communicate plans with the program coaches

  • Assist and lead customer communications during and following programs, introducing participants to the Anaheim Ducks Hockey Development model

  • Assist with Anaheim Ducks women's focused programs and initiatives including Anaheim Ducks Women in Sports Night

  • Serve as liaison between the Lady Ducks travel club, The Rinks & Great Park Ice, and the Anaheim Ducks

  • Assist the Marketing Manager, Hockey Development with program operations including equipment inventory, tracking registration, and securing ice slots for programming

  • Assist with marketing efforts for female programming including working with The Rinks and Anaheim Ducks marketing team to produce marketing materials and strategies

  • Grow and develop the girl's hockey programs hosted by The Rinks & Great Park Ice and the Anaheim Ducks

  • Serve as a female hockey ambassador for the Anaheim Ducks and The Rinks & Great Park Ice, attending special events as needed

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 3+ years of coaching or program experience in girl's or women's hockey

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in sports and entertainment marketing or related fieldpreferred

  • Experience playing hockey is a plus

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of hockey, specifically the National Hockey League

  • Working knowledge of basic PC applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.) and design applications such as Adobe Photoshop

  • Candidate must be creative, self-motivated, and organized - strong customer service approach

  • Passionate and knowledgeable about hockey and sports in general

  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays required

  • Able to work with diverse populations, including adults and children of all ages

  • Able to ice skate and inline skate at an expert level
