Job description

We are seeking a talented and dynamic PR & Social Media Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing public relations strategies, media relations, and social media presence to enhance the company’s reputation and brand image. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media practices and the ability to create engaging content and interact with audiences on various social media platforms.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
     
  • Assist in drafting press materials including press releases, media pitches and briefing documents 
  • Build and maintain media lists across business and technology outlets 
  • Track media coverage and compile weekly coverage reports, share of voice and sentiment summaries 
  • Execute day-to-day social media publishing, with a focus on Linkedin for B2B audience 
  • Amplify press coverage, announcements and thought leadership through social channels 
  • Draft social posts aligned with corporate messaging and campaign goals 
  • Monitor engagement and respond to comments in collaboration with internal teams 
  • Repurpose media coverage into social content, blog summaries and internal newsletters 
  • Coordinate with design team to create simple visuals such as quote cards and event recaps 
  • Support integrated campaigns by ensuring consistent messaging across PR and social  
  • Monitor industry conversations, competitor announcements and trending topics 
  • Provide weekly reports on social performance and media coverage 
  • Flag potential risks or sensitive issues for the communication team 
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong creative writing skills with a proven ability to craft compelling narratives, generate fresh ideas, and adapt storytelling techniques to enhance branding and communication strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to set and achieve goals, meet deadlines, and manage tasks efficiently
  • Knowledge of the latest trends in marketing, social media, and digital communication strategies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 
  • Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Required Qualifications:
      
Years of Education  
 
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related writing-intensive fields)
Work Experience
 
  • 2-6 years of experience in PR, communication, social media or marketing
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn and other social media platforms in a professional context
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, InDesign) preferred
  • Experience supporting communications or marketing initiatives in technology, enterprise hardware, AI, or infrastructure industries preferred
  • Experience supporting product launches or market expansion initiatives
Working Conditions:
 
  • Office Only: Typically works in an office environment
  • Requires sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone and other office equipment for extended periods of time 
  • May involve ~20% domestic travel to meetings, events, and conventions 
 
$70,304 - $90,000 annually is the estimated pay range for this role working in Fremont, California or City of Industry, California office. It does not include bonuses, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D insurance, Paid Time Off, EAP, & 401(k). The final amount will be determined based on the qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
