Job description

Description:

At Hensley Legal Group, marketing isn't just about likes and impressions. It's about building trust, strengthening our communities, and sharing stories that make a real difference in people's lives. As our Social Media & Community Engagement Specialist, you'll be the creative force behind our social media presence while also taking our brand into the community through events, partnerships, and public relations.

One day you'll be creating engaging social content, the next you'll be representing HLG at a community event, coordinating a media opportunity, or celebrating a client success story. If you're energized by variety, thrive on creativity, and love seeing your work make a meaningful impact, you'll fit right in.

This is more than a social media job—it's an opportunity to help shape how thousands of people experience our brand while supporting a mission of leaving people better off than we found them.

If  you are detail-oriented, creative, and highly organized, with a passion for both storytelling and strategic coordination, we want to talk to you!

Some of the key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Organic Social Media

  • Develop, manage, and execute HLG's social media strategy across platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and emerging channels.
  • Create and schedule engaging original content including graphics, short-form video, client spotlights, legal tips, and firm news.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions to maintain an active and professional online presence.
  • Track and report on social media analytics, using data to refine strategy and demonstrate ROI.
  • Stay current on platform trends, algorithm changes, and best practices in legal marketing.

Community Events

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute HLG’s participation in community events, sponsorships, and firm-hosted programs statewide.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, nonprofits, chambers of commerce, and civic groups.
  • Manage event logistics from initial concept through execution, including vendor coordination, collateral, staffing, and post-event follow-up.
  • Identify new events and sponsorship opportunities that align with the firm’s brand and community values.

Public Relations & Brand Engagements

  • Support media relations efforts including drafting press releases, responding to media inquiries, and coordinating interviews or features.
  • Coordinate attorney speaking engagements, award submissions, and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Maintain consistent brand messaging across all public-facing communications.
  • Assist with crisis communications as needed in coordination with firm leadership.
Requirements:

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE DEMONSTRATES OUR "EPIC" CORE VALUES

  • Displays Excellence by being growth-minded, being adaptable, and always striving for greatness
  • Shows Passion, care, and devotion to each client (and team member) they come in contact with daily
  • Wants to Impact their community, feeling personal fulfillment by having an indisputable effect on others
  • Shows Courage and initiative to overcome the unknown

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or related field.
  •  3+ years of experience in social media management, marketing communications, PR, or a closely related role.
  • Strong communication skills and writing skills, with an eye for detail and storytelling.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging content independently across multiple platforms.

Why You’ll Love It Here

We offer a supportive, in-office team that values collaboration along with:

  • A comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and  vision benefits, paid time off, 401k, paid parental leave, and pet benefits program.
  • A flexible full-time schedule designed around core hours.
  • The chance to build a stable career while doing work that truly matters.
  • Participating in a firm that recognizes effort, encourages growth, and celebrates the impact our work has on real people.

Ready to Apply?

If  you’re ready to step into a role where your expertise as a Social Media & Community Engagement Specialist can create meaningful, measurable  impact, we’d love to meet you. Special consideration will be given to resumes submitted with a cover letter.
