Job description

Essense of Australia is an international bridal wholesaler with key offices based in Lenexa, Kansas, Perth, Australia, and Zug, Switzerland. Our organization also operates in the United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, and New Zealand. We have been a global leader in bridal fashion for over 20 years and our designs are currently sold in nearly 1,000 stores worldwide. With innovative designs and a strong customer service approach, Essense of Australia is a dynamic company that rewards excellence, drive, and collaboration.

The Role

We’re looking for a Social Media Content Creator who is, at their core, a visual storyteller — someone who loves social media and knows how to create and elevate good content into high-performing content across key platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and beyond.

Based in Lenexa, KS, this social-first creative role is working alongside the social creative team to shape the look, feel, and vibe of our brands across our platforms. You’ll be highly involved in the social creative process, from concepting and planning to shooting, editing, and pulling together branded content using a mix of original captures, existing assets, and platform-native formats. You’ll partner closely with our social strategy and creative teams to plan, execute, and elevate our social presence. Internally, this role will be titled Social Creative Specialist.

As a great team player and go-getter, you’ll join fellow social content creators to share insights, learnings and inspiration on the regular. Day-to-day work may also include content ideation and creation, trend scouting, performance interpretation, partnership with stores, and occasional travel for on-site content capture.

We’re a company built on doing things differently, and we’re looking for someone who’s naturally curious, collaborative, and energized by new ideas — someone who thrives in a fast-moving creative environment and helps make it inspiring, innovative, and fun.

What We Expect

The Social Media Content Creator should have previous experience in creating for social media, a passion for the social space and an interest in the fashion, retail and bridal industries. The ideal candidates should be personally active on social and understand the nuances of each platform.

  • Create engaging social content (copy, photo, video, and other assets) with cross-functional alignment.
  • Manage brand-specific social content calendars and publish campaigns across platforms.
  • Capture live events, behind-the-scenes moments, and in-store experiences.
  • Curate and integrate user-generated content to elevate brand storytelling.
  • Engage daily with our social communities—responding, moderating and fostering connection.
  • Grow audiences by developing content that resonates with community needs and platform trends.
  • Monitor performance and translate insights into actionable content improvements.
  • Support paid/boosted campaigns and partner with digital teams to meet KPIs.
  • Stay current on trends, competitive insights and new platform opportunities.
  • Ensure consistent brand voice, quality and professionalism across all social communication.
  • Maintain ongoing, daily social activity and help identify new ideas or opportunities.

What We are Looking For

  • At least three to five years of strong social media experience in creating and managing social media content for consumer-facing brands.
  • Genuine passion for social media and initiative in testing and adopting new practices.
  • Experience in creating for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok and Pinterest.
  • Ability to craft clear, engaging, audience-focused messaging.
  • Skilled in photography and video creation.
  • Familiarity with boosted and paid social campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of how social campaigns support broader business and marketing objectives.
  • Experience with analytics platforms such as Instagram Insights and Facebook Business Manager.
  • Experience with content management tools such as Sprinklr, Later or Hootsuite.
  • Experience in content creation tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Knowledge of project management tools such as Microsoft Teams or Wrike.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines and adapt quickly.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and maintain a professional brand presence.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization and self-management.
  • Process-oriented, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Graphic Design, Communications, Business or related field preferred but not required.
