Required Certification: Maine Ed tech certification

The Kittery School District is currently seeking an Educational Technician II to work with students in the Social Emotional Learning program (ACHIEVE) who struggle with various functional and behavioral challenges throughout their school day. Responsibilities include supporting Special Education Teachers in implementing students' Individual Education Plans, collecting data, following behavior support plans, and instructing students in various content areas as assigned. This role works closely with elementary students in grades 4-6 with varying academic, developmental, and functional needs, including communication disorders, and may need to work in small groups. At times, this person may need to assist with leading the class if the teacher steps away for a special education meeting. Students are supported in all settings, including the general education classroom. Working with students and helping them to achieve independence must be a top priority for anyone seeking this position.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a current Maine Ed Tech certification and fingerprinting. Candidates must submit to a Criminal History Record Check through the Maine Department of Education
