Job description

Full Time Athletic Assistant - Women's Soccer
The Blinn College District is searching for a Full Time Athletic Assistant - Women's Soccer at our Brenham Campus.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities are listed below:
Job Summary
Works closely with the Head Coach and to help to teach, mentor the young men and and women involved in the Blinn athletic programs.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Assist the coach(s) in practice, games or events.
  • Ability to travel with the team and/or coaching staff to games, events and recruitment. Assist in the supervision of extra-curricular activities.
  • Compiles sports information, including but not limited to statistics and reporting, as assigned.
  • Assists with promotions and marketing of the Blinn College athletic program. Helps maintain the athletic equipment and facilities.
  • Assists with scouting, recruiting and other work related duties. Attend all required meetings with Athletic Director.
  • Assist in supervising the strength and conditioning program.
  • Assist with monitoring team academics including study halls, classroom checks and academic progress reports of student athletes
  • Assist in the supervision of the Colleges residence halls and dining hall.
  • Evening and weekend work is required
  • Adhere to all Blinn College policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all NJCAA rules and regulations.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/ Required Degree, License or Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • UEFA, United Soccer Coach or US Soccer License is required
  • Goalkeeper license

Minimum Competencies
  • Experience assisting with assigned sport.
  • Ability to effectively motivate, teach, and supervise students.
  • Ability to maintain a professional relationship with students and peers.
  • Ability to fully comply with NJCAA rules and regulations.
  • Ability to fully comply with Blinn College policies and procedures.
  • Current Texas driver's license or ability to get one and per Blinn requirements, ability to drive
    on behalf of the college.
  • Reliable transportation to travel between worksites and complete job duties
  • Evening and weekend work is required

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience at training goalkeepers at the NCAA level
  • Experience at the NCAA level
  • Knowledge of Texas Recruiting
  • Experience coaching Goalkeeping
  • Coaching or playing experience at the Junior College
  • Knowledge of Texas recruiting.
  • Knowledge of Academic Advising.
  • Knowledge of International recruiting
