Location: Leesburg, VA Onsite
Shift: Night Team B- Alternating Wednesday's, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 7PM-7AM

The ideal candidate will have experience in a network security or SOC environment, a solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, and the ability to identify, document, and escalate security events in accordance with established procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze cybersecurity events using SOC tools.
  • Identify, investigate, and appropriately handle Events of Interest (EOIs).
  • Escalate cybersecurity events and incidents in accordance with established procedures.
  • Generate incident response documentation and reports.
  • Process incident-related communications, including initial notifications, follow-ups, requests for information, status updates, and resolution activities.
  • Document and track cybersecurity incidents through resolution.
  • Follow established security operations, incident response, and reporting procedures.
  • Collaborate with SOC and cybersecurity personnel to support timely resolution of security events.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, network security, a SOC, or a related IT security environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Experience with security monitoring, event analysis, incident handling, or related SOC functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Active Secret security clearance required.
