Description

Centennial Technologies is seeking a ServiceNow Senior Developer / Technical Lead to support the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions for federal clients. This role serves as a hands-on technical leader, responsible for guiding development efforts, ensuring best practices, and delivering scalable, high-quality ServiceNow capabilities.

Unlike an Architect, this role is execution-focused, with responsibility for solution implementation, team guidance, and technical quality, rather than enterprise-wide architecture ownership.

Requirements

  • Lead the design and development of ServiceNow solutions across modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, or custom applicationsย 
  • ย Translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions and platform configurationsย 
  • Serve as a technical lead for development teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and code reviewsย 
  • Develop and customize ServiceNow applications using: Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and Automation workflowsย 
  • Support integration efforts with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and third-party toolsย 
  • Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, coding standards, and platform governanceย 
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog refinementย 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the platformย 
  • Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to align solutions with overall platform strategyย 
  • Support testing activities, including unit testing, system testing, and deployment validationย 
  • Contribute to documentation, including technical design documents and implementation guidesย 

Required Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and implementationย 
  • Strong hands-on experience with: JavaScript, Glide API, ServiceNow scripting, Core ServiceNow modules, (ITSM required; others preferred)
  • Experience developing custom applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platformย 
  • Proven ability to lead development efforts or serve as a technical point of contactย 
  • Experience with integrations (REST, SOAP, APIs, MID Server)ย 
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologiesย 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentย 
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersย 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with additional ServiceNow modules such as: ITOM, CSM, HRSD, SecOps, GRCย 
  • Experience in federal or public sector environmentsย 
  • Familiarity with platform upgrades, releases, and instance managementย 
  • Exposure to DevOps/DevSecOps practices within ServiceNow deliveryย 
  • Experience mentoring junior developers or leading small teams ย ย 

Certifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (required)ย 
  • ServiceNow Certified application Developer (preferred)ย 
  • Additional ServiceNow certifications (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, CSM) are a plusย 

Clearance Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship requiredย 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearanceย 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
