Job Description
  • 10+ years of hands-on development and solution design of the ServiceNow platform (not just using ServiceNow), including work with each of the following modules: ITSM, ITAM, SecOps, & GRC.
  • Experience leading (not managing) a technical team.
  • Linux environment.
  • LOCAL - within a 70-mile radius of Reston, VA 20190 (preferred) - or motivated to relocate before start.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
Lead the overall design of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry and technical best practices
IMPACT: The Senior ServiceNow Developer role will involve overall platform implementation, driving innovation, ensuring system optimization, and be responsible for solution design for platform delivery. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong leadership skills to guide technical teams and business
stakeholders.
Work closely with cross-functional teams (IT, Security, Engineering, Finance, HR) to drive adoption and ensure platform success.
Meet strict deadlines and other targets both individually and as the leader of multiple teams, strong decision maker.

Coordinate with ServiceNow team management to ensure clear communication regarding project status, challenges, and milestones.

Stay current with the latest ServiceNow trends, releases, and best practices, proactively applying new technologies and functionalities to enhance the platform.
  • 10+ years of experience with ServiceNow platform development, including deep technical expertise in
  • ITSM, ITAM, SecOPs, and GRC modules.
  • Highly-skilled with scripting languages (JavaScript, Glide, etc.) in the context of ServiceNow platform
  • development and Service Portal (HTML, CSS, AngularJS, SASS, Bootstrap)
  • Strong knowledge of architecture and design of ServiceNow platform implementations, including
  • workflows, custom apps, and integrations
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub and Spokes
  • Proven experience leading technical teams, process governance and delivering large-scale projects
  • Proven experience in Perl and Python programming in Linux environment
  • Strong understanding of CMDB, Asset Management, Discovery, Portal, Incident, Problem, and Change Request Management processes
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum and Kanban development methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor technical teams, ensuring a collaborative and high-performance culture
