Job Description:
Seeking an experienced QA Engineer with expertise in API Testing, Database Testing, and Batch Testing to validate backend systems, integrations, data flows, and batch processes. The role involves ensuring application quality, data integrity, and seamless end-to-end business operations across enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities:
API Testing-
• Design and execute test cases for REST/SOAP APIs.
• Validate request/response payloads, status codes, authentication, and business rules.
• Perform integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of APIs.
• Use tools such as Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, and Rest Assured.
Database Testing-
• Validate backend data accuracy and integrity using SQL queries.
• Test stored procedures, functions, views, and database validations.
• Verify data consistency across applications and databases.
• Perform source-to-target data validation for ETL processes.
Batch Testing-
• Validate scheduled batch jobs, ETL workflows, and data processing pipelines.
• Verify file processing, transformations, data loads, and reconciliation.
• Monitor job execution, logs, exception handling, and recovery processes.
• Test workflows using tools such as Control-M, Autosys, Airflow, or Azure Data Factory.
Required Skills-
• Strong experience in API Testing (REST/SOAP).
• Advanced SQL and Database Testing knowledge.
• Hands-on experience in Batch/ETL Testing and data validation.
• Familiarity with Postman, Swagger, SQL Server/Oracle, Control-M, Airflow, or similar tools.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and defect management tools (JIRA/Azure DevOps).
