Job Description:Seeking an experienced ETL Developer to support enterprise data migration and modernization initiatives involving SAS-to-Snowflake conversion and Talend-based ETL pipelines within a banking environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Snowflake, Talend, PySpark, SQL, Unix/Linux, SAS code analysis, cloud platforms, and enterprise ETL/ELT development. This role requires hands-on experience analyzing legacy SAS code, converting business logic into Snowflake SQL and Talend pipelines, developing scalable ETL jobs, implementing CDC logic, optimizing performance, and ensuring data quality, integrity, and SLA adherence across enterprise data platforms.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze complex SAS code, macros, and batch workflows to understand business logic and data transformations
  • Refactor, optimize, and convert legacy SAS processes into Snowflake SQL and Talend ETL pipelines
  • Design and develop Talend ETL/ELT jobs for enterprise data ingestion, transformation, and loading into Snowflake
  • Implement Talend transformations including tMap, tJoin, tAggregateRow, and tFilterRow to support business logic processing
  • Create and maintain source-to-target mapping documents (MapDocs) and transformation logic documentation
  • Develop parameterized Talend jobs using context variables for DEV, QA, and PROD environments
  • Build and manage Snowflake data pipelines using SQL, stored procedures, and automated tasks
  • Implement incremental load processing and Change Data Capture (CDC) logic for large datasets
  • Perform data profiling, validation, reconciliation, and quality checks between source and Snowflake systems
  • Troubleshoot ETL failures, resolve data issues, and optimize performance bottlenecks in Snowflake and Talend pipelines
  • Optimize Snowflake queries and Talend workflows for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency
  • Ensure enterprise data delivery meets SLA/OLA timelines and release requirements
  • Collaborate with QA teams, Data Modelers, business teams, and stakeholders during UAT, deployments, and post-production validation


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support enterprise migration and modernization activities involving Snowflake and Talend ecosystems
  • Maintain transformation logic, technical documentation, and ETL development standards
  • Participate in release management, testing, deployment support, and production readiness activities
  • Support continuous improvement of ETL performance, scalability, and data quality practices

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 810+ years of strong hands-on ETL/Data Engineering experience required
