Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Englewood, CO that is seeking a Snowflake Lead.
Summary:
The Snowflake Lead owns the Snowflake architecture for the Gold layer, driving incremental processing, serving patterns, performance optimization, and ensuring business-validated, AI-ready data assets are delivered for downstream BI and AI consumers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Snowflake architecture for Gold-layer design, incremental processing, and serving patterns
* Review and certify SnowConvert/SnowConvertAI-generated SQL, DDL, and stored logic
* Ensure Gold-layer tables meet AI Readiness and business validation standards
* Guide Snowflake stream engineers on Dynamic Tables, Snowpark, Snowpipe, and performance optimization
* Validate Gold-layer outputs during dual-run validation cycles and support production cutover
* Ensure metadata, lineage, and data contracts are correctly defined and published in Snowflake Horizon
* Leverage Cortex AI capabilities to support AI-ready serving patterns
* Coordinate with downstream BI and AI consumers to ensure compatibility of migrated outputs
* Guide offshore Snowflake engineers on pattern consistency, quality, and performance standards
REQUIREMENTS:
* 10+ years of experience in Snowflake or cloud data warehouse engineering
* Proven experience designing and delivering Gold-layer, business-facing data models at enterprise scale
* Strong background in Snowpark, incremental processing, and AI-ready serving patterns
* Experience with BI consumption patterns, semantic layer design, and downstream consumer alignment
* Experience leading offshore engineering teams in Agile delivery models
Experience with:
* Medallion Architecture
* Data modeling and Data Engineering
* SQL query tuning and optimization
* Dynamic Tables and incremental processing
* SnowSQL and Snowpark development
* Snowpipe for continuous data ingestion
* Cortex AI and Cortex Code
* SnowConvert AI for SQL migration
* Debugging and troubleshooting at scale
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
