Job Summary: The modern data warehouse is no longer just for storage-it is the brain of the enterprise. R2 Technologies is seeking an AI Data Engineer specializing in the Snowflake ecosystem. You will move beyond traditional ETL pipelines to build intelligent, agentic workflows directly within Snowflake. Leveraging Snowflake Cortex, Snowpark, and AI coding assistants, you will build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, semantic layers, and vector search capabilities that power our enterprise applications and internal SmartEnt platform.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement high-performance data pipelines using Snowflake, Snowpark (Python/SQL), and dbt.
  • Build and deploy Large Language Model (LLM) features directly on enterprise data using Snowflake Cortex AI, enabling natural language-to-SQL and semantic search workflows.
  • Create and manage Vector Embeddings and hybrid search pipelines within Snowflake to support enterprise RAG architectures.
  • Utilize AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to automate pipeline generation, data testing, and documentation.
  • Modernize legacy data structures into modern open table formats (Apache Iceberg) to future-proof AI data consumption.
  • Implement robust data governance, dynamic masking, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to ensure AI models comply with strict security and privacy standards.

Qualifications:
  • Up to 3 years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, or AI/ML Engineering.
  • Strong hands-on proficiency with Snowflake architecture, SQL, and Python.
  • Experience or strong familiarity with Snowflake's modern AI stack (Cortex, Snowpark, Vector functions).
