Snowflake is experiencing exponential growth and we're looking for a seasoned Senior Social Media Manager to elevate its social media profile among the global developer community. This individual will be a steward of the Snowflake's developer social presence, specifically responsible for engaging technical audiences. This role is critical to reinforce Snowflake's AI Data Cloud vision and business momentum by showcasing technical innovation and value to developers.
This role demands a dynamic social media expert with a background in running presences for established B2B brands who can develop, execute, and measure the impact of owned, paid and earned social media. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a high-growth environment, is AI-minded, and possesses a strong knack for innovative content creation. They are also a dedicated team-player, proactive, and highly organized, with a talent to build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
This person will work closely with cross-functional teams including PR, Product Marketing, Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, and the broader Marketing and Global Communications teams to create plans that drive awareness and engagement with our key audiences. THE OPPORTUNITY
Guide & Execute Snowflake's Developer Social Media Strategy
  • Craft the strategy and lead the execution of our developer social media presence, inclusive of platform mix and editorial strategy
  • Drive the development of integrated social plans for key Snowflake moments (i.e., new feature releases, open source contributions, technical events) with sustained storytelling in mind
  • Collaborate with the developer relations and developer advocate team to align on priorities and co-creation opportunities to bring the collective work together across social
  • Own the outcome by delivering insightful social monthly, quarterly and campaign-based reports that demonstrate our impact on the community and business

Concept, Manage & Execute Snowflake Developer Social Content
  • Be a steward of the brand with the community experience in mind, inclusive of navigating and managing internal expectations around the social experience and best practices
  • Bring new content ideas and franchises to the table to both drive awareness of and strong engagement with Snowflake's key narratives and priorities
  • Write, edit and publish everyday content across platforms in line with Snowflake's narrative and developer voice
  • Lead social creative direction, working collaboratively with our creative team and business partners to create socially-engaging assets
  • Actively engage with the community to drive a true two-way exchange and nurture their connection to Snowflake

Lead and Execute our Paid Social Initiatives
  • Develop paid strategies with clear KPIs in support of our key narratives and initiatives
  • Create and execute paid social campaigns across platforms, inclusive of ad campaign set up and targeting and content promotion
  • Lead reporting on the impact of our campaigns with the ability to distill learnings and insights for our varied internal audiences

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Our ideal social media lead will have:
  • 8-10+ years of experience in B2B technology social media, either in-house or with an agency
  • Well-rounded social media marketing and/or social media communications experience - including owned, paid and earned strategies
  • A strong love for social and emerging technology, including hands-on use of AI tools to enhance day-to-day work across content creation, trend analysis, experimentation, reporting, and workflow efficiency
  • An experimental, test-and-learn orientation to create social success stories that will help drive greater investment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content in line with our narratives for various audiences across paid, earned, and owned channels
  • A 'Roll Up Your Sleeves and Get It Done' attitude with a proven track record of managing multiple, high-priority projects from strategy to execution
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, technical, and analytical skills
  • Superb organizational skills and keen attention to detail, while operating effectively in a rapidly growing, fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships
  • Strong judgment, a knack for diplomacy, and the confidence to engage and build consensus with stakeholders
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.

This role requires remote and in-office work at our preferred Menlo Park, CA or Dublin, CA office.
