Job Summary:
Saviance is a company seeking a Snowflake Architect responsible for architecting, designing, and overseeing the implementation of a Snowflake data warehouse on various cloud platforms. The role involves leading technical decisions, developing data management architectures, and owning the architecture and design of Big Data Pipelines.
Responsibilities:
• Deployed a fully operational data solution into production on Snowflake DW with technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, Azure Monitor, AWS, AWS S3, AWS Glue, AWS Kinesis.
• Utilized Snow SQL for command line, DDL, DML, and query syntax.
• Built modern approaches to automating data pipelines.
• Leveraged code repositories and continuous integration tools.
• Demonstrated experience with predictive analytics.
• Work in interdisciplinary teams that combine technical, business and data science competencies.
• Be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the data architecture, data models and standards for various Data Integration & Data Warehousing projects in Snowflake, combined with other technologies.
• Model new features and subject areas and integrate them with existing structures to provide a consistent solution as well as develop and maintain documentation of the data architecture, data flows and data models.
• Take ownership of technical solutions from design and architecture perspective, ensure the right direction and propose resolution to potential data pipeline-related problems.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Snowflake DW Architecture and Design.
• 10 total years in data architecture, analytics, design, and development.
• Data Management experience including Data Governance, Master Data Management, Reference Data Management, and Metadata Management.
• Customer-facing experience in a consulting or delivery capacity.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Acute attention to detail.
• Experience with gathering end user requirements and writing technical documentation.
• Time management and multitasking skills to effectively meet challenging deadlines.
• Ability to suggest innovative solutions based on new technologies and latest trends.
• Proficiency in data modelling, very good understanding of data management concepts such as 3NF, Dimensional and their specific applications.
• Ability to write complex SQL scripts.
• Understanding troubleshooting aspects.
• Understanding of data security and data access controls and design aspects.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent client-facing and team player skills.
