Job description

Standard Job Description Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire control is looking for an experienced mechanical engineering to support the SNIPER sensor program. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the creation, coordination, and release of mechanical design artifacts that feed into the Sniper Program. You will work side by side with other engineers, production planners, and the global supply chain to address production delays, yield issues and failure investigations to support the continued success of the program.

Your responsibilities will include: Generate complete, release ready engineering documents (drawings, BOMs, assembly parts lists) for fabrication and procurement. Perform tolerance stack up and fit analyses to ensure manufacturability and reliability of mechanical components. Conduct design reviews, incorporate feedback, and secure formal engineering release approvals.

Building BOMs, creating parts, assemblies, and design documentation within Windchill PLM Supplier major suppliers and on-site machine shops. Basic Qualifications B.S in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant industry

Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5 and complex system-level tolerance analysis. Proficient in Computer Aided Design (PTC CREO preferred). Experience generating engineering drawings, documents, parts lists and specifications

Ability to obtain a security clearance. Desired Skills Opto-Mechanical Design Experience. Leadership experience, leading tasking and decision making over small or large teams.

Have the ability to guide major projects to completion and engage with senior personnel on significant matters, including multi-functional and multi-site teams. Have the ability to lead investigative efforts and report status to senior personnel. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays
