Medical Pre-Authorization Associate
Mercer County, NJ
SNI Companies (partnering with a large, well-established medical practice)
SNI Companies is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Medical Pre-Authorization Associate to support a busy outpatient medical practice in Mercer County, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in insurance verification, co-pays, authorizations, and referrals who are looking to grow within a reputable healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Verify insurance eligibility and obtain pre-authorizations for medical procedures and testing
  • Communicate with insurance providers, referring physicians, and patients regarding authorization status
  • Accurately update and maintain patient and insurance information in the system
  • Manage exam certifications, including upgrades and downgrades as needed
  • Maintain working knowledge of participating insurances, pre-authorization workflows, and EDI requirements
  • Greet and assist patients, physicians, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
  • Enter insurance information and process required documentation, including referrals, waivers, and consent forms
  • Scan and upload insurance cards, referrals, waivers, and supporting documentation
  • Collect co-payments when applicable
  • Schedule walk-in appointments while delivering exceptional customer service
Schedule
  • Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • One rotating Saturday every 4-5 weeks
