What is a snap manager?

Snap Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing, organizing, and optimizing the use of Snap (Snap Inc.) products and platforms, such as Snapchat, within a company or for a client. Their duties often include content planning, social media strategy, analyzing engagement metrics, managing campaigns, and ensuring consistent brand messaging. Snap Managers collaborate with creative teams, monitor trends, and use data to improve performance on the platform. They play a key role in building online presence and connecting with target audiences through innovative Snapchat features.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a snap manager?

To thrive as a Snap Manager, you need expertise in data backup and recovery, storage management, and a strong understanding of NetApp storage solutions, often supported by relevant certifications like NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA). Familiarity with NetApp SnapManager tools, storage protocols, and related management systems is typically required. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication help ensure smooth coordination with IT teams and stakeholders. These skills are crucial for maintaining data integrity, minimizing downtime, and supporting business continuity.

What are some common challenges faced by snap managers when coordinating cross-functional projects?

Snap Managers often encounter the challenge of aligning goals and timelines across different departments, such as engineering, design, and marketing. Effective communication and proactive problem-solving are crucial for managing shifting priorities and ensuring that all stakeholders stay informed. Additionally, adapting to rapidly changing technology and user preferences requires Snap Managers to be agile and forward-thinking. Building strong relationships across teams can help facilitate smoother collaboration and project success.

Under the general direction of the Senior Program Manager of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Programs or designee, the SNAP Program Manager provides leadership and operational oversight of the SNAP Employment and Training (known in Massachusetts as SNAP Path to Work) team within ForHealth Consulting. This role is responsible for managing staff and coordinating SNAP team activities, including partner recruitment and training, budget development, federal and state claiming processes, performance monitoring, and general departmental operations. ForHealth Consulting contracts with community organizations and agencies who provide services to DTA SNAP clients and applicants. SNAP Path to Work is a program that connects SNAP clients in Massachusetts with community providers of job skills training programs and employment preparation. The SNAP team at ForHealth Consulting assists DTA's SNAP community partners to obtain federal dollars for eligible services under the SNAP Path to Work and Outreach programs by identifying allowable activities and funding streams, offering training and technical assistance, reviewing quarterly claims, and disbursing federal reimbursements.
