PRIMARY PURPOSE 

The Receptionist is responsible for all incoming calls as you will be the first point of contact for our company. Our Receptionist's duties include offering administrative support across the organization. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Greets, welcomes, and directs visitors in a courteous and professional manner.

Notifies appropriate company personnel of visitor arrivals.

Maintains the security and telecommunications systems in the reception area.

Responds to visitor inquiries or directs them to the appropriate contact.

Operates the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.

Restocks lobby products and ensures product quality standards are met.

Prepares and assembles gift baskets as needed.

Places and tracks orders for lobby products and supplies.

Counts and balances the cash till in accordance with company procedures.

Assists with seasonal decorating and lobby presentation.

Maintains security by following established procedures, monitoring the visitor logbook, and issuing visitor or vendor badges.

Keeps the reception area clean, safe, and organized in compliance with company policies.

Supports continuity among teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.

Contributes to overall team success by completing related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Qualified candidates will generally have the following education, knowledge, skills and abilities:


This position typically requires a high school diploma.

This position requires communication and organizational skills.

This position requires computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.

This position requires  attention to detail.

Ability to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately.

Must be comfortable with office equipment including a computer, telephone, scanner, calculator, laminator, and photocopier.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job requires regular physical activity. Employees may need to lift, carry, push, pull, reach, and handle materials. The position also involves frequent typing or computer use.


Lifting requirements vary throughout the workday. Most lifting involves items under 25 pounds, with occasional lifting of heavier items up to 60 pounds. Very heavy lifting (over 60 pounds) is rare.


Employees can expect to spend their time sitting, standing, and walking. The job may also require bending, stooping, and reaching as part of normal duties.


MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires focused attention and concentration. Employees must be able to perform detailed tasks accurately and maintain good hand-eye coordination for extended periods of time.


WORKING CONDITIONS
Work may involve exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, noise, fumes, dirt, water, or other similar elements. These exposures are generally limited and not considered uncomfortable or hazardous under normal working conditions.
ATTENDANCE

SAFETY

FLSA STATUS
This position is nonexempt and is eligible for overtime pay.
