We're looking for a Production Operator I to join our growing team in West Henrietta, NY!

The Position:
As a Production Operator I, you will be responsible for the assembly of small to medium-sized components, including the fitting, alignment, and adjustment of interrelated parts. This role involves performing precision soldering of electronic and mechanical components, ensuring reliable connections and adherence to quality standards. You will also troubleshoot and repair sub-assemblies and major assemblies, maintain production efficiency, and follow detailed work instructions to meet safety and performance requirements.
The Day to Day:
  • Utilize a wide range of hand and power tools, along with electrical and mechanical fixtures and gauges, to perform precision assembly tasks
  • Operate standard measuring and test equipment such as dial indicators, micrometers, and voltmeters
  • Work with drills, jigs, fixtures, and light materials to support production activities
  • Perform precision soldering of electronic and mechanical components as required
  • Inspect and test your own work to ensure it meets established specifications and quality standards
  • Verify and review the work of others for accuracy and compliance
  • Perform a variety of mechanical, optical, and electrical/electronic operations
  • Follow detailed work instructions, safety protocols, and production procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment

What you Bring to Safran:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years electronics assembly experience or equivalent with soldering experience on printed circuit boards
  • Ability to solder/de-solder/rework assemblies/SMT experience
  • IPC-610 & JStandard 001 (preferred)
  • Ability to read and follow directions with heavy attention to detail
  • Able to use ERP system to complete tasks as required
  • Able to read color coded Process Details
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Programs
