Job description

Description:
Patton is seeking a Surface Mount Technology Operator to setup and operate our various automated Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment including Stencil Printer, Pick and Place Machines, Reflow Oven, Automated Optical Inspection Machine, and Stencil Cleaner. The Operator will pull material, load feeders, operate machines, inspect work, perform preventive maintenance as assigned.

Positions currently available for day shift (7:00am - 3:30pm) and evening shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm).
Responsibilities:
  • Acquire materials from inventory and verify quantities against Work Order Documentation.
  • Load part feeders and set up SMT equipment according to Set Up Documentation.
  • Operate SMT equipment safely per Manufacturer's Operating Manual and in-house SMT guidelines/procedures.
  • Inspect SM Assemblies to IPC-A-610 and/or in-house workmanship standards.
  • Document all labor information and complete routings steps electronically.
  • Perform weekly Preventive Maintenance on SMT equipment.
  • Follow company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook and ISO documentation.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Able to read, write, speak and understand the English Language.
  • Individual must be able to work in a Team environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and dexterity, basic hand soldering skills and physically adept to working in, on, and around machines.
  • Basic computer and clerical skills are also a necessity.
  • Must be familiar with IPC SMT workmanship standards.
  • Min. 2 yrs experience operating surface mount equipment.
