Job description

Location: Southlake, TX 76092
Company: VSSI Staffing Services

We are hiring SMT Machine Operators for an electronics manufacturing facility in Southlake. This position performs manual and automated SMT production processes while ensuring equipment is properly set up, materials are available, and products meet established quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate SMT equipment and assist with manual and automated production processes.
  • Ensure proper machine parameters and material availability.
  • Follow work instructions, IPC standards, and required safety procedures.
  • Perform and assist with production line changeovers and setup activities.
  • Perform assigned quality checks, including SPI and AOI.
  • Identify and report deviations or quality issues.
  • Use production equipment and company computer systems as required.
  • Perform basic equipment cleaning and 5S maintenance.
  • Meet established production, quality, and efficiency expectations.

Qualifications

  • Previous SMT or electronics manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of SMT processes and equipment preferred.
  • IPC-610 knowledge or certification is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to follow written work instructions and read English.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

Schedule

1st Shift: Approximately 5:00 AM or 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, depending on department/staggered start time.
2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM.

Please note: 2nd-shift employees will train on 1st shift for approximately 2 weeks.

Overtime may be required during the week or on weekends based on production needs.

Work Environment: Climate-controlled facility with a casual, appropriate dress code.
