Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled SMT Operator to join our manufacturing team. The SMT Operator will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of surface mount technology (SMT) equipment used in the assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs). This role is vital in ensuring the production of high-quality electronic assemblies by adhering to precise manufacturing standards and technical specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, along with experience in soldering, schematics interpretation, and electrical wiring, to support efficient and accurate assembly processes. SMT Operator: Operate and monitor SMT equipment and machinery Load components and ensure proper machine setup Perform basic troubleshooting and quality checks Responsibilities Set up and calibrate SMT equipment, including pick-and-place machines, to ensure accurate placement of components on PCBs. Operate surface mount technology machinery efficiently, monitoring production runs for quality and consistency. Inspect assembled PCBs for defects using IPC 610 standards and perform rework as necessary. Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions to ensure proper component placement. Maintain detailed records of production activities, machine settings, and quality checks. Conduct routine maintenance on SMT equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
