Job description

Job title: Product Content Designer

Reports to: Director, Product & Lifecycle Marketing

Department: Merchant Solutions

Location: Remote

Grade: 16

About Priority Commerce:

Priority Commerce is a leading financial technology company on a mission to deliver a personalized, easy-to-adopt financial toolset that accelerates cash flow and optimizes working capital for businesses. Our vision is to eliminate the barriers to unlocking revenue - empowering businesses to grow faster and operate smarter.

We achieve this through the Priority Commerce Engine, an innovative platform that combines payables, acquiring, and banking and treasury solutions. This unified approach allows businesses to streamline financial operations, reduce unnecessary costs, and uncover new revenue opportunities.

At Priority Commerce, we're driven by results. We expect our people to be known for results - bringing expertise, momentum, and relentless focus to every challenge, helping our clients and each other thrive.

About the Role:

The SMB Product Content Designer is part of the Commercialization team responsible for bringing our SMB products to life visually. This role owns the design and production of marketing assets, product videos, campaign materials, landing pages, and educational content for employees, customers, and partners. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, fluency in the Adobe Creative Suite, and the ability to pick up a brand library and run with it, producing polished, on-brand work that drives product adoption and converts. The position will also design performance support solutions by working collaboratively with subject matter experts and/or project stakeholders from across the organization. In addition to creating new content, they will also update, and improve existing content using current and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes instructional design, adult learning theories, and performance improvement processes to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate instructional materials and programs to enhance product adoption thus increasing revenue for all SMB products.

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders and/or internal subject matter experts across the organization to determine scope of instructional needs, create learning objectives, content sequence and structure for all SMB products.

  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts across the organization to develop, design, and improve training solutions that drive adoption and are consistent with internal marketing standards and best practices.

  • Design, write and develop use case scenarios in multiple subject areas, including e-learning, webinar, in-person, and blended programs.

  • Collaborate with business line managers and peers to formulate project objectives, scope, and schedule for producing deliverables.

  • Determines training needs with stakeholders through observation of job tasks, group and individual interviews, questionnaires or surveys, and other appropriate needs analysis methods or techniques.

  • Assist in creation/design of social media campaigns for all SMB products.

  • Assist in creation/design of drip campaigns and assists in managing existing campaigns.

  • Assist in creation of product awareness campaigns from content creation to design of campaigns, imagery, gifs, etc.

  • Assist in creation/management of animated videos for all SMB products.

  • Assist in creation/management of all marketing assets for all SMB products.

  • Assist in management of all SMB products housed on University and those assets housed in MX Connect.

  • Assist in design/creation of all assets needed for SMB product launch from internal talking point guides to launch of documents on University.

  • Assist in creating marketing campaigns to help drive SEO for SMB products.

  • Assist in managing all SMB landing pages.

What Success Looks Like:

Success in this role is visible. The right candidate has a strong design instinct, earns trust quickly, and becomes the creative force behind how Priority's SMB products look, feel, and land with their audiences. Day to day, that means delivering polished assets on deadline; over time, it means owning the visual standard for everything our products put into the world.

  • Marketing assets, including social, email, campaigns, and product launches, are consistently on-brand, visually compelling, and produced without requiring heavy rounds of revision.

  • Stakeholders stop describing what they want and start saying "make it look like that," because this role has established a recognizable, trusted design voice.

  • Product videos are built with intention: clear structure, strong visual hierarchy, and a conversion goal that's reflected in every design decision.

  • Landing pages and digital touchpoints reflect sound UX thinking, not just aesthetics, but layouts that guide the user toward action.

  • The brand library is treated as a living system where assets are consistent, reusable, and organized so the team isn't starting from scratch on every project.

  • Product launches never go out looking unfinished, internal and external materials are ready, cohesive, and reflect the quality of the product itself.

  • SMB product content is consistently accurate, on-brand, and delivered on schedule; stakeholders across the organization trust you to own the full lifecycle of a content asset from brief to launch without handholding.

  • Product adoption metrics improve as a direct result of clear, well-structured educational materials and success is visible in how quickly employees, partners, and customers understand and begin using SMB products.

  • New content formats (animated video, micro-learning, simulations) are explored and introduced in ways that raise the bar for the team; this role is a source of creative momentum, not just maintenance.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.

  • Two to four years of work experience in instructional design, learning and development, or other directly relevant field.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, or After Effects).

  • Understanding of brand systems and ability to work within and extend an existing brand library.

  • Experience designing for digital channels — web, email, social, and video.

  • Working knowledge of UX/UI principles and web design best practices.

  • Experience producing or editing product videos with a conversion-focused mindset.

  • Familiarity with landing page design and basic SEO concepts.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

  • Strong analytical, decision-making, planning, and program design skills.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience designing and developing emerging learning solutions including game-based learning, video, micro-learning, simulations, and immersive scenarios and interested in delivering/training.

  • Facilitation and instructor skills - we are eager to train!

  • Adobe Captivate Prime experience.

  • Videography, video editing, and graphic design experience.
